Just wondering if anyone has heard if any smaller consumer cams with 24p capability may be hitting the market anytime soon. I love my DVX, but I do a lot of guerrilla video work that the DVX is a bit too bulky for, and I’d love to have a palm-sized 24p camera.

Nothing on the horizon I’ve heard of.

I’m guessing you’ve never had to go hand held with an Arri 35BL

There are some smaller 3-chip camcorders now (from Panasonic) so when you really need to be discreet, shoot in 60i with one of those and use DVFilm Maker to convert that to 24P. Check out the Pan. GS200 – camcorderinfo.com’s review says, “The PV-GS200 a great choice for the pro who wants something small and portable.” https://www.camcorderinfo.com/content/panasonic-pv-gs200-camcorder-review.htm

Thanks everyone–that little 3-ccd Panny’s pretty cool & might be an option.
