To turn on the camera, click view>3D Overlays>3D Scene Icons. If that does not bring back your icons, you may need to delete the Motion preferences.

    Hi Alan

    Thanks for responding.

I just tried your suggestion and it’s not working. I did it while Motion was closed, and when I opened it up it wrote a new “com.apple.motion.plist” file. Then I tried deleting it with a project open, no luck. I also tried opening a old project that I knew I could see the cameras on, and cameras were visible. I’ve toggled on/off all 3D overlays, and I’m stumped. The fact that I could see cameras on an old project gives me hope.

Do you have any other ideas?

HI Chad – I have the same problem and came across your question when trying to google for an answer. Did you get this figured out?

    Hi Stephen

I never did figure out why id disappeared. It did just show up around 2-3 weeks later. Try opening an old proj, and see if it’s there. Or maybe a blank project. All I know it came back one day when I started a new project.

    Hi Chad,

I just figured it out 2 minutes ago. on the top right of your screen, there are 5 boxes – 1 for zoom level, 1 for resolution, 1 for channels, 1 for view and overlay options and one for view layouts. in the “view and overlay options” pull-down menu, my “3D Scene Icon’s” selection was unchecked. Once I checked it ON, then the camera came into view. (tied to upload an image of this selection)

It was driving me crazy. All is good.

    Steven.
