[Stephen Bakopanos] “Anything, and I mean ANYTHING, has to be better than the text generator in FCP 7. Premiere is still miles ahead though…”

We are definitely agreed on that!!!!!!!!

Backtimed 3-point editing – it’s annoying that in order to backtime edits you have to remember to use Shift plus whatever key you want.

    Hence, a “forward” 3-point overwrite is “D” whereas a backtimed 3-point overwrite is “Shift/D”.

Odd – but then there are quite a few odd things that we’ll need to get used to for now.

I think many of the key cmd changes were a bit too arbitrary why leave in the easy ones but why change out insert, overwrite etc.- because the actual function changed ? not really

Totally agreed Gary. I’ve already remapped my keyboard to compensate as I couldn’t find a reason of why they changed certain ones.

The new way of adding transitions is so wrong. It´s just slower compared to any other application.

Why not give the option of adding it only to video or only to audio?.

So we have to expand both clips, drag de audio, apply the fade.

Now, do that when you need to apply an audio crossfade to group off clips in the same sequence.
