Small file size
I have some 4k footage, I have rendered it ok to MP4 format using the QSv settings to full 4k and its stunning, I know these create large files and I am ok using this setting. But my problem is I would like to create smaller files to send to family and friends via whatsapp and email or skype. These apps as you know have file size limits. But I want to try to keep as much quality as I can but in a smaller file.
I found an old post on line that I tried, it gave me a file size of 265mb, this was a lot better but the video was awful when playing it back through the Tv.As anybody got a template to share or can tell me what template to use and how to set it up..
I am on Windows 10 Vegas Pro 16 on a I7 Dell.

Hi Mick,
Two parameters will adjust file size within a given render codec (render format), the resolution and the bit rate. If you are keeping the 4K resolution and decreasing the bit rate, you may want to consider reducing the resolution to 1080p (FHD) and keeping the bit rate default of the template you choose.
It would help members to help you if you would include a screenshot of the render template you used that provides ‘stunning’ results and the render template you used and got ‘awful’ results.
