Small black stripes on 3 sides of the monitor
Hello, I have the following problem: My clips are displayed in the monitor with narrow black margins. Left, right and down. Not at the top. See photo. I can only remove this false stripes by transforming the clip to a value of, for example, 1,020 using zoom. Does anyone have an idea what’s wrong? Many Thanks.

What are your footage dimensions/pixel aspect ratio and what are your project timeline settings?

Hi Tero, the footage dimension is Full HD 1920×1080, the timeline setting ist 1280×720.

In other programs like Avid MC or Magix VdL the problem doen’t exist.

its nothing just aspect ratio.

rather than doing your little zoom adjustment on each clip, do a timeline clip or output node with a resize zoom of the same amount. (the zoom is the overscan) There is nothing wrong with your current fix, but there is an easier way to do the adjustment if it is universally needed across your entire timeline.
Depending on your footage, you might be able to set your preferences/scaling control to be “full frame with crop”, which would fix the shots on input, rather than output…again depending on the origin of the issue.
