Sluggish XDCAM playback in FCP/QuickTime
This morning I’m having a lot of trouble getting footage shot on an EX3 (XDCAM EX 1080p 35mb/s) to play back at proper speed in FCP: I keep getting dropped frames.
I’ve tried the files on a couple of drives with the same result, and can play back higher bitrate ProRes files with no dramas.
I had some major crashing issues lately, which turned out to be a PRAM issue, and as part of my troubleshooting I deleted my preferences folders. Could I have I removed an XDCAM playback component?
My system is a Macbook Pro 2.5 GHz Core 2 Duo, 3 GB Ram and NVIDIA 8600m GT 512MB RAM.

In absence of any responses, I managed to fix this issue with a reinstall of Final Cut Studio.
