    Hi!

I’ve been having an issue w/ Premiere lately… Whenever I click away from the application, say to my web browser (Chrome), or to iTunes… Premiere takes at least 30-45 seconds to “process” and give me control over the program again. Most of the time the title bar will say “Not Responding” for most of the sluggish time, but it will disappear once the program is usable again..

My system specs are pretty decent, so I don’t think that’s the issue…

    Windows 7 64bit
    6GB DDR3 RAM
    Intel Core i7 920 CPU 2.67 GHz
    1 TB 7200 RPM HHD (x2)
    Nvidia GTX 260 GPU

Is there any reason this may be happening??? It is extremely annoying and keeps me from being as efficient as I need to be editing… Any help would be great. Thanks!

It isn’t windows 7, I have the same issues, I believe it has to do with the loose frame infrastructure of CS4. You can drag windows outside the interface, anywhere in windows. This means you can do that with video and the computer needs to interpret where those are everytime you do something outside the program. It is normal.

“Oop, I think my render is done!”
