Wow. This release is incredibly buggy. And the interface chokes if you throw in a couple of motion menues. Back to 1.5 for simple preview DVDs and DVDSP and Sonics Pro apps for everything else. It’s a shame. I’m so much in love with all the other Adobe products.

Maybe your system is underpowered? It works fine for me…

Did you install the tryout? If so, lucky for you that Adobe posted one. 🙂

Works fine here and that too on a Pentium M laptop.

Fine as in: This release is much faster and a lot less buggy than 1.5?

My system is super fast and runs Premiere Pro 2 and AE 7 quite satisfactory.

Yes, fine as in faster and less buggy.

My system is super fast and runs Premiere Pro 2 and AE 7 quite satisfactory.

Weird, especially since Encore 2.0 uses the same playback engine as Premiere Pro 2; I would expect that if you see performance problems in Encore, you’d see similar behavior in PPro 2.

So what kind of performance and bug issues do you see?

Building disk images sometimes take forever. The interface freezes. It’s overall much more sluggish than 1.5 on my machine. PPro works perfectly.

    I have an Intel P4 2,6, 2 GB DDR, S-ATA, Radeon 9600 Pro running a 1920×1200 TFT.
