Is there a way to slow down the timeline play head in Sony Vegas 8, such that you can listen in slow motion while watching the audio track wave form, such that you can more easily see and isolate sections for selection and cutting?

    Many thanks!

On the left, bottom side of the timeline (where the track headers are) there is s slider with a yellow triangle type icon. Move that icon and it will play the timeline at the rate shown. If you simply want to do it temporarily (for a few seconds, just move what is directly above the yellow icon and once you let go it should snap back to the yellow icon.
