Slowing down speed of emmitted clouds in emmiters_11_06
I am trying to use the ‘flying through clouds 1’ in the emitters_11_06 pack, but I cannot slow them down.
I tried setting all velocities to ‘0’, and velocity over life to be ‘0’ as well. I tried just about every attribute, but I could not find out how to make them emit slower.
I want to vary the speed so I can make it look like the viewer is speeding up and slowing down, but I just cannot see how to control the emission speed.
Any help appreciated.

Those probably use “size over life” to grow the clouds, so you’d have to vary the “life” property. Decrease life to sepeed up, increase life to slow down.

Wow – thanks for the prompt and accurate response!! I get it now – I was thinking I needed some sort of velocity setting, but because of the keyframing on the size, that regulates the ‘speed’ they appear to grow.
One last question – can I duplicate the keyframes/graph of the settings for ‘size over life ‘from one item to another – there are about six separate emitters and if I could copy this particular set of keyframes/settings to the other five it would be helpful.

No, you can’t copy/paste keys, but if the only difference in the emitters is the time at which they happen, you can set the first one up then COPY it, then move to the time you want the second to happen and PASTE, move to the time you want the third to happen and PASTE, etc.
The only other thing you can do is get the first life graph setup the way you want it, then r-click in the graph and set it as a reference graph.
