So I’m trying to make some sparks float around in my scene in AE. I have it looking like I want but the sparks are flying around a little faster than I want and I’m not sure how to slow them down without affecting the size of the sparks. When I change the Velocity it changes the size of the sparks. Stretching the time of the layer has the same effect. Is there anything else I can do?

    Thanks!

Try pre compositing the particle layer and then time remap that.

Yea I tried that and it still makes the particles smaller.

then render out the particle layer and then time remap.

I don’t know why I’ve never thought of that. It looks good now.

    Thanks!

Glad to hear that- now thinking about it, I figured that rendering the particles at a higher frame rate and then importing the rendered layer in a regular comp would have given you a better result… I guess better late than never.
