Has anyone found a efficient workflow or plugin to slow down 24p footage with pulldown in a 29.97 timeline without looking awful?

I’ve tried quite a few demo versions of pluggins and they are either a pain to use, very slow or then they make media recapture impossible.
So far i’ve been juggling the clips between cinema tools and FCP, but this is a big waste of time and makes media management more complex.

why isn’t there a retimer pluggin that can remove pulldown auomaticaly, do the speed change, and then add the pulldown back? You know, like in Avid MC/Symphony/DS…

Boris’ Contiuum contains a dandy filter for this “optical flow” is the filter’s name… also there’s wonderful software from ReVision FX: https://www.revisionfx.com/rstwixtor.htm Either filter uses optical flow technology, and actually creates new frames interpolated from the old where FCP’s slo mo simply adds the same frames again…

Twixtor does not seem to remove the pulldown before slowing down, so the movement is still jerky. They also have a pulldown remover plugin, but either it cannot be used in conjunction with Twixtor, or then i’m missing something..

I’ll look into a demo Boris optical flow, this one escaped my list!

    thanx
