  Slow RAM Preview on G5

  Hi,
  I have two computers
  1. a new G5, dual 2.3 ghz processors and 2gb of ram, and
  2. a powerbook g4 1.33 ghz and 1gb of ram

  The G5 seems very sluggish and actually gets outperformed by the powerbook g4 when doing renders and ram previews by about 15%. The settings are the same and was wondering if anybody had any ideas why this might be happening. Any info would help.
