Do you have the “Use GPU for RED Debayer” checked in the Resolve settings (cmd-,) under Video I/O, not Project settings? That looks to me like your CPU is doing the debayer and not the GPU…

Interestingly, when that is unchecked, the CPU maxes out and GPU goes to about 15%, but when it is checked, the CPU hovers between 60-75% yet the GPU stays around 15%, and there isn’t much of a playback difference between the two options.

March 27, 2015 at 7:40 pmSounds like cuda isn’t installed. Check cuda z. Also you kept your 5770 I hope? You will still need it occasionally for installs etc

March 27, 2015 at 7:51 pmHere’s what cuda-z has to say:

It does seem to say that my Nvidia driver is different from the one that is installed (10.2.1 vs my 10.3.1). I’ll start with reinstalling the drivers and see what happens!

March 27, 2015 at 8:16 pmI also can’t seem to go back to the f02 driver. It says “Mac OS X version 10.10.2 (14C1514) is not supported with this package.” even though f02 is also for 10.10.2!

March 27, 2015 at 8:52 pmAlso try using the CUDA / Nvidia un installer.
I don’t know man everything seems fine. I would uninstall and re install everything.
I had the 980 yosemite resolve light on a 5,1 3.3ghz 12 core and it was playing red 4k full premium real time.
You should get half good no problem.http://www.filmandtvcolor.com | colorist | Los Angeles, CA
