Is there a way in Vegas 11 Home studio Platinum to load a video to the timeline which has been shot at a different frame rate? Say the project is at 25 fps, and the video was shot at 16 fps. I want Vegas to retain each frame of the video as one frame on the timeline; ie, no combining frames or rescanning etc. The result will be a fast motion video without any of the artifacts from re-scanning.

I believe I could achieve the same result by rewriting the header of the original video in a programme called “AVIFRate” or similar to make the original video have its framerate as 25 instead of 16. Again, no reprocessing of any frames. just make it play as a 25 fps video. But if I could do that in Vegas, it would save a step in the workflow.

Yes. Right-click on the event, select Properties, go to the Media tab and select Disable Resample. That will cause Movie Studio to play back the 16fps video at 25 fps.
