I am trying to create a slow motion effect on a clip and am unsure how to do it. I tried messing around w/ the various effects but haven’t figured it out as of yet. any suggestions?

Right click on the clip and change the speed/duration.

Or, you can use the Rate Stretch Tool to stretch out the duration of the clip, thereby slowing it down.

You can not keyframe this to gradually slow down or speed up, but you can do that in After Effects.

You might also want to look at the various options under clip/field options. Flicker removal for instance produces some really nice effects on flowing water.
