Slow Mo with Optical flow?
We shot a 2X4 hitting a window. We shot this at 1280X720 60P. I want this to look vey cool in slo mo 29.97. When I put this clip in Motion 4, the wood seems to warm, and the glass sems to also warp at it shatters. Is there anything I can do about this? Would Twixtor be much better? I hate to buy Twixtor for $379 for one 3 second shot. Any advice?

Twixtor would probably have the same issues. When you have moving objects overlapping each other, it’s impossible for the software to distinguish them from each other, leading to the warping you see. Optical flow is really not the best approach for this kind of slow motion. Better to rent a camera capable of higher frame rates.

I agree with Mark. I use both Twixtor and Optical Flow and they have very similar results. However you are in luck, Twixtor offers a demo version where an X appears over the footage so you can see for yourself if it will work out for you: https://www.revisionfx.com/products/twixtor/downloads/
