Slow launch of FC when using additional profiles
I have a perplexing, repeatable issue with launching FCP5 (5.04) on a dual 1.25G G4 computer running Tiger 10.4.3. When launched from the main system administrator account the splash screen for FC comes up right away and off it goes. When its launched from any additional profiles of our individual producers, it takes one full minute to get that initial splash screen. We have a similar delay on our laptop but not as long. We use profiles to keep producer’s files separate and have no issues like this on our G5 edit suite. I’ve posted the same question on the Apple discussions but there has been no response.
Any ideas?
