slow going in HD
Posted by Sbrand on June 21, 2007 at 2:10 amWe are working on the newest Intell Macs and I can’t understand why the playback is so slow that audio is out of sync. I rendered one HD clip, and everything worked fine.
Is there a guide to keeping a system optimal for ND editing?Jeremy Garchow replied 18 years, 10 months ago 4 Members · 5 Replies -

June 22, 2007 at 2:16 pmFrom movie info:
Uncompressed 8 bit, 1280 x 720, millions
24-bit integer (Big Endian), Mono, 4800 KHZFPS: 23L98

June 22, 2007 at 2:30 pmYou are trying to do uncompressed HD off of a single SATA drive?
For uncompressed HD you need a 5 drive array or better.
Try capturing to the DVCPro HD codec, even then, you should have a two drive striped array at the least.
