When playing a cached scene with dynamic simulation, the viewport playback performance is as slow as without cache. Even the CPU load is similar. It seems that the hardware (GPU/CPU) has very little impact on the viewport playback. Tried different hardware configuration (i7/Xeon, GTX/ATI) but it seems that C4D never utilize the resources fully. Even when it gets as slow as five fps, CPU load is still below 50%. So I’m wondering how this can be improved. At least achieving a cached playback that is faster as an un-cached. Thanks for any hints.

Looks like the Voronoi object is slowing things down. Make it editable if you don’t need it to be parametric. Apply the dynamics tag to the parent of the fragments with “apply to children” enabled (Collision>Inherit tag).
