Hi, didn’t know where to put this since I am having the same problem with Movie Maker… so here goes…

    Capture DV-AVI in Movie Maker.

Split the entire tape clip into clips via AVCutty.

Import into Movie Maker or Premiere Pro – the clips audio plays slow when placed and played in the timeline.

If you play the clips outside of MM or PP the clips play fine (in some places) – clips are used over a Windows 2003 server network. Workstations editing are Windows XP SP2 under restricted user accounts. (The problem is also replicated if the files are not on a network but over a USB storage device and using a non-restrictive user account).

Can anyone advise anything? The last resort is to recapture the files.

    Thanks,
    David.

I am suprised Premiere even imports the clip captured in Movie Maker as it is DirectShow type 1 file. Suggest recapture with Premiere and dont use the AVcutter thingy as it may be screwing up the file header.
