I have an overclocked system with i7, 8Gb RAM, and 1GB non-comp graphics card.

Since I started using Lumetri, the system has become unusable. Rederring/output take forever now and is so frustrating.

Other than buying a new system, I have option to upgrade RAM to 16GB and a new compatible graphics card that will set me around 400GBP. I cant upgrade RAM to 32Gb as it will break the overclocking.

So is this a good option or do I think about a new super system?

More RAM and graphics card power is more important than overclocking. You need 16gig ram minimum and ideally 64gig. And a graphics card with a minimum of 4gig and ideally 8gig.

    Thanks for that.
Unfortunately, its DDR3 and they dont sell 16Gb or 32Gb sticks anymore. As its an overclocked system I have been advised to use memory in pairs. So I am limited to 2x8Gb hence max 16Gb.

I now have 16Gb installed. In AP settings its showing to use 11Gb. But in task manager it barely uses 8Gb ay any one time and there is usually 8-10Gb lying free.
