    Hi all,

Would like to check how slowing shots down in post with 60 or 50 frames recorded on a HDX 900 compares with the cranking at 60 or 50 in the Varicam?

    Is the Varicam way smoother?

    Thanks

We own both the Varicam and HDX900 and we have not seen any difference.
We have one of the very first Varicams and the HDX900 looks as good if not better.

    Question-
If you are shooting at 60fps, are you producing a 24 or 30fps program?

    Hi Ray

We are actually shooting 720/50p. Is progressive better for slo mo than interlaced…

What kind of work do you shoot?

    Thanks

Oh my yes, progressive is better than interlace for slow motion. Interlace will have a vertical hop as the slow motion shows one field then the other. Progressive doesn’t have that problem and it is beautiful.
