Is there a way to slow down the audio with the video. I have a piece where i want the voice to slow down with the action.

CTL+Size. You can also adjust the pitch in properties I think.

Yes, and you can also add the Sony Time Stretch FX to the audio.

Well, when I went to do this I failed to get it to do anything. Just what is meant by CTL+Size? Also in time stretch I have no result. Can someone explain the procedure? Thx

[Mike Hinkel] “Just what is meant by CTL+Size?”

Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging the end of the clip in or out and it will speed up or slow down the audio. Then right-click the audio event, make sure the method is set to elastique and check the box that says [x] Lock to stretch and it will pitch shift the audio to match the stretch.

That was my error… I meant to say Sony Pitch Shift. Time Stretch keeps the pitch the same while changing the duration. Pitch Shift will make the pitch higher while maintaining the duration. You could use both to change the speed and pitch but it’s easier to Ctrl+Drag.

Thanks John! I have to laugh at myself for not realizing what was meant there. Pretty easy after looking at it. It is the same as slowing the video without an envelope.

Yup, you got it! This what I *love* about Vegas. It’s like working with potter’s clay… you just in there and mold the events the way you want them… a simply brilliant interface.
