    Hello hello,

say is there a way I can adjust (slide) in and out of a clip selection range in the Event browser?
Like in FCP7 when holding shift or the slide tool and adjusting the in mark and the out mark follows.

    Thanks

I don’t know about in the event browser and can’t think of when you would need that (but I am a hack and no doubt it’s something you do ALL the time for good reason) but if you drop it into the timeline and select the trim tool, you can slide by grabbing the top edge of the clip (the tool becomes something which looks like this (<-I->) with the traditional film strip/slide icon underneath). You likely knew that already, but it is so sad to see your question sit unacknowledged. Happy cutting.

Thanks Jordan, yeah I still try to do my rough cuts before I drop them in Timeline. But I guess its new way. 🙂

I hear that, and you can get pretty fine frame by frame with the arrows, but when would your clip need to be a specific length before you put it in the timeline (hence needing slide rather than just i/o) ? Just curious…

Yes I am aware of the arrow key function. It’s not when it’s could you do it. 😉 i think it could become handy.
