    Slightly OT – Internal DVD burner?

    Hi all,

    I didn’t know where else to post this. Anyway, I’ve got an older G5 (quad core) and the burner has gone bad. I went to MacConnection and they only had external DVD burners for mac.

    Well, I know in the past I have used generic internal (PC) burners on Macs with success. But I wasn’t sure if I could still do this on the G5.

    I just wanted to find out before I bought one.

    I was surprised that no one at MacConnection knew you could do that.
