Hey I have FCP playing out through a Kona Card LHe and on my monitor it looks slightly aliased. For instance I create animate maps with curious and create a title bar, and in FCP I video generator>text. The display is not smooth. I have rgb outs to my brand new Sony 1420 monitor.

    Anythoughts would be greatly appreciated.

If you are working at a higher res, it is sometimes advisable to create your graphics outside the hardware codec you’re using… For example, I work on a travel show. We also have Curious maps which we animate. They were coming down from the Graphics dept in the Uncompressed Avid codec (we use Avids at the network), and they were soft on the fine details. When they sent down a QT file with Compressor: None, and we let the Avid covert it into the Avid codec, we got far better results.

    Hope this helps.
