    Hi,

I am processing some holiday photos and want to create a photo slideshow with music, etc
I have tried other slideshow programs as well as Premiere.
I find the quality to be exactly the same using all of them.
The quality of the slideshow video is darker than the original photo.
I play the jpg file on my tv and it comes out crisp and bright, just like i processed it.
The slideshow video, played on the tv, comes out darker.

I have no idea why. I have tried different codecs and qualities.

Can someone please help as I am stuck.

    Thanks

Thankyou for the reply, unfortunately I use Premiere Pro.
I have tried other programs and I get the same result.

Tonight I will try using a jpeg i found online, just in case the issue is my photos.

My processed photos look great as standard jpegs, so I cant imagine that they are the cause.

I will add more when I have done my test tonight.

    Thanks

Tell us more about your processed photos.

How are you processing them before your Premiere edit?

    Are they 8-bit RGB?

    System:
    Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
    Win 7 64-bit
    32GB RAM
Adobe CC 2014 (as of 7/2015)
    256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from HD MP4 and P2 MXF.

I have discovered that is the tv that is causing the problem.
My samsung hd tv is fine, the photo and video match.
I tried it through my computer, opened the photo and ran the video file, both match.

We have an LG hd 3d tv. The video is coming out darker, not sure why.
I will try the video settings, maybe that was the problem all along.

    I will report back.

Turns out it was the tv settings, thankfully.
