Slideshow Issue
Hi all, this is my first post so can I say thank you for the After Effects resources available on this site, plus the legendary Andrew Kramer tutorials – they are priceless!
I’ve been creating and rendering slideshows and have had no issues however yesterday I rendered a larger than normal (output file size 60gb) slideshow and had a number of issues during playback including stuttering image transition, audio clipping and general poor playback.
The output settings used are:
Format: Video for Windows (lossless)
Video Output: Channels RGB
No compressionMachine specs:
2.4GHz dual core
4GB RAMCan you suggest anything that can assist me on this one, perhaps changing some of the other rendering settings?

let me get this straight, your slideshow is 60 GB? Sounds like your single hard drive won’t be able to do realtime playback.

Yes it’s a 10 minute slideshow and the rendered file is circa 60GB. Maybe my orifinal image sizes are too large? What sort of res would you recommend if my intention is for the production to be rendered onto DVD for viewing on tv – is 800×600 too large?
I did try rendering and compressing using a codec which isn’t ideal but the outfile file size was reduced substantially to around 450mb and the playback was fine.
