Hi all thanks for your time. OK so I am producing a video that has stills also included. In order to not just flash pics up there, I pan and crop each one. My problem is that after I put them on the time line (each pic is 4 secs or so) and I overlap them and I play the clip the picture pans but comes to a complete stop before the new picture comes in … I figure an almost 2 sec overlap is enough. I am not sure if my problem is with the amount of overlap between stills or some other setting. I move them manually and maybe my eye does not gauge the overlap properly… can someone point out was my issue might be? Gracias…

It sounds like your keyframes for the movement are not set right. The final keyframe needs to be at the end of the video event (the picture). Should keep moving until tyhe end which will be within your transition.

OK.. I get that but how do I adjust this systematically? or do I just have to expand the frames and overlap manually?

Many different ways depending oni what you are trying to accomplish. If you are using the same movement on all pictures (ie a pan or a zoom) you can set up one and right click and copy. Themn highlight all the others at one time and right click and paste event attributes. Or if you are using the full Vegas version you can use a script to automatically place the pictures add various movements and it will be done automatically.(Look up Excaliber and Ultimate S)

Thanks for the info … I am just now trying to workl on this again. I am working with Sony Vegas Movie Studio which I think may prvent me from seeing the “keyframes” marker or something. So let me know if this sounds right.. if each still is say 4 seconds in duration then when I pan and zoom, I have to somehow set the properties of that “event” to be less than 4 secs in order for the transition from pic to pic to be fluid. I want to try and set things up in the properties of each rather than doing the way I am which is just to drag it further to overlap because it still does the “pause” before going to the next pic…? Happy New Year BTW
