    Hi,

Can someone point me to a tutorial on an effective workflow for making multi-part slide shows from a few hundred images? I’d like to move the images on and off over an animated background. I can see how to do it one by one, but I’m looking for shortcuts and speedups for the motion effects and varied transitions. Any help appreciated.

Creating neat slide shows with Premiere can be done, but short cuts dont fit in the workflow. I do quite a few pics to video projects and could not do these efficiently without ProShow Producer.

Preview; automatic image preview resize…try this in Premiere with a 6 or 8 MP pic.
Motion; random motion to a selected group of pics,,,very easy motion keyframing.
Transitions; random transitions to a selected group of pics
Duration; instant click and drag duration changes to a selected group of pics.
Text; tons of animated text motion presets
    Easy layer masks…

I do a lot of photo montage work. I use Canopus’ Imaginate 2.0. It operates as a standalone (as I use it) and also a plug-in to Premiere. It’s much faster and in my opinion, superior quality, to trying to do it within Premiere. Lots of control of panning, zooming and Z-axis control. I know there’s another popular one call Moving Pictures but I don’t have any experience with that one.

    Thanks y’all —
I went with the Producer Gold. Did everything I needed and saved me hours. I ended up doing my production over a chroma-key green background, brought it into PP and chroma-keyed it over a Digital juice background. I’ll add audio in PP.
