Slide-in text boxes in Final Cut Pro ? Is it possible ?
Posted by Sina Ghi on October 18, 2011 at 10:58 pmI would like to know how to generate slide-in text boxes,
like the one that pops-up at 0:22 in the video below:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwMiBZPgTUU
The person who did it said it was done on Sony Vegas, but I would like to know how I can achieve the same thing on Final Cut.
Thank you.

Text is just an static image with Alpha channel.
You can move the text with the Motion tab, but better, use the 3D Boris text.
Has all the options to animate it without using the motion tab.

They just did a mask wipe.
In your motion prop – apply crop. Animate.Chris Tompkins

That clip has four layers:
– Text
– logo
– box
– Video.
The box is just cropped mate animated.
You have also to animate the text and the logo.

Riight, just crop it.[Sina Ghi] “But I just need to know how I can do the animation of the slide-in & out ? “
You need to key-frame the “Center” in the Motion Tab.
Mark a key-frame in the frame you want to start to slide and another in the frame you want to stop.
