    Hey guys,
I’m looking for a tool that would let me analyze the variation in RGB pixel values along an imaginary line in the footage. I believe that a tool like that is known as “Slice Tool”. Does it exist in AE? Or, if it doesn’t, maybe someone could suggest an alternative method?
    Thanks!

I don’t believe that there is such a tool in AE. However, depending on what you’re trying to do, you may find Maltaannon’s CE PixelSampler useful.

    Hi,

Synthetic Aperture’s “Test Gear” would be ideal, having a slice tool as part of the set, although I don’t know that it has been released for CS3 yet. I used it briefly under AE7 but once I upgraded to CS3 it no longer worked. I’m still waiting for the new version to become available.

    Hope this helps,
