Skype Mic Quality (FCP X)
I am editing a Skype interview where the client is interviewing people. I have never worked with this type of setup.
I am getting two clips (interviewer and interviewee) and when I sync them (manually — I don’t do multicam), the audio lines up but the sound is robotic with both audio tracks on.
Is there anything the client can do to provide me with better audio? Also, should the interviewer be looking at the Skype cam, not the screen?

An alternative to that would be a decent headset with a mic or a USB mic made for podcasting.
In short, the closer someone can get to the mic, the better, but not too close that they would “pop” the microphone every time the spoke
