    Hi!

I’ve just shot a tape on a GL1 and am trying to capture to FCP 4.5 using the same camera.
The program is telling me there is no timecode/it’s waiting for timecode and I can see
in the capture window that only the timecode of every fifth frame or so is showing up.

I’ve had this problem before, where it seems to be skipping frames, and still not sure
    where the problem is.

    Thanks for any help,
    Mish

It’s the camera’s problem… Canon’s cameras aren’t very friendly and burn extremely poor qualtiy TC signals. The “Quick” fix is to dub the tapes to DVCAM, and generate a new timecode track in the process I’d think.
