  • Skip frame to next visual frame if current frame is black

    Hi guys

I have a BG of some neon lights shot. The vision is about 2.30 secs in length. The lights flicker great, but every now and again all the lights go out and leave black holes in the vision. Is it possible in AE7, to have an expression that is able to skip to the next visual frame, if the current frame is black.

i just want to save myself some time instead of cutting up my footage and removing the black holes manually.

    Thanks
    Chris

Sounds like a job for sampleImage which is unfortunately only available in CS3

Expressions in AE7 don’t have access to pixel color info. You could probably do it in CS3 with sampleImage() if you could define what constitutes a black frame.
