Skip forward/back by x number of frames/change values of “TimeStepBackMore”
Hi all,
I make music videos in AE and I’m frequently wanting to skip forward/back by a certain number of frames. That certain number depends on the tempo of the song, so it’s different every time. Does anyone know how to modify the keyboard shortcut that currently skips by 10 frames (shift-PgUp/shift-PgDn) ?
I found this:
“TimeStepBackMore” = “(Shift+PageUP)(Cmd+Shift+LeftArrow)”
in the text file “Adobe After Effects 14.2 Mac en_US Shortcuts.txt”
Unfortunately I don’t see where I can actually modify the value 10, only the keyboard shortcut itself.
I’m using CC 2017. I’m guessing what I’m asking isn’t possible but let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks!

I don’t know a way to change the default step forward/backward, but you could use “go to time” Alt+Shift+j and type “+/- any number of frames”
