August 5, 2010 at 9:05 pmI’ve never heard of a “Skin Tone Enhancer Lens“, I’ve got Skin Tone Ehancing Filters though, the ones I have are for Matte Boxes, but Tiffen carries some that you maybe able to screw in,
https://www.tiffen.com/filters.htm
You could also do a net search for Skin Enhancing Filter -

August 6, 2010 at 2:05 amSorry, I should not use the word lens what I meant was filters, the ones of glass to be attached to the front of the camera lens, in this case 58mm,
also I have seen the “warming filters” that may help to improve skin tones, but what I guess is they are not specially for those purposes
Do you know any good one besides tiffen
So is “skin tones anhancing filter” the technical name for these filters ??Thanks for your help Brian !!

August 6, 2010 at 10:45 pmBasically Skin Tone Enhancing Filter is a correct term, the same filter is also use to enhance earth tones, etc.
another filter company is https://www.schneideroptics.com/Since you are doing video, another way to play with tones is to use Balance Cards, usually there are white and gray cards to set the manual white balance on camcorder also there are warm and cold cards,
for instance here is a company that sells these cards for video,
https://www.warmcards.com/WC1.html
Also here is a place you can download and print warm balance cards to play with to get an idea what they do
https://www.thedvshow.com/download-free-warm-cards/another thing is to make sure your camcorder has a manual white balance, if it only has a auto balance putting a filter on it will cause the camcorder to try and balance to neutral, some auto white balance cams also have some selections to make the balance warmer or colder from neutral.

August 11, 2010 at 7:34 amThank you Brian, that was exactly what I was trying to do, besides skin tones also earth tones, once I saw a camera man that makes the miracle changing the pallid look of a very white skin woman in a Tropical tan look perfectly achieved in 5 seconds, the change was pretty impresive
this advices were really really helpful, extremely well documented with those web sites and your valuable time !!
I will play with cards too
