  • Skin tones don’t appear accurate along the Flesh Line – Color Correction

Posted by Brett Allbritton on May 21, 2015 at 10:54 pm

I’d like to ask some questions about using the Vectorscope and skin tones.
I routinely have the same issue of my skin tones looking more realistic when they are shifted towards red rather than falling along the flesh line. Whenever I try to get my skin tones on the line, they appear far too yellow.
I’m wondering what I might be doing wrong.
What I find confusing about it is that, while my monitor isn’t perfectly calibrated and I know I should trust the scopes, I watch videos all the time from others who have accurate-looking skin tones while mine still do not. Does anyone have any advice for me?
