If I do anything in my timeline that requires a render…skimming is working until I pause and allow it to render…then no more skimming. EXCEPT – clip skimming works…but skimming on the timeline doesn’t work. Skimming on the event browser works…and if I simply go to my project library and back into the project skimming works again.

    Anyone else experience this?

Another way that seems to fix this in the timeline is to toggle the Position tool on and off.

    All the best,

Same here, it’s definitely a bug.

    I LOVE YOU!!!

I’ve been having the issue of skimming randomly stopping working for ages now!
My fix was to close and reopen FCPX, but your solution for skimming not working is WAY FASTER!

Thank you for helping with the persistent skimming issues I’ve been facing in final cut pro!

This for me fixes the fcpx skimming issue

(using a long and variated wording here, for google things, so anyone having this problem won’t wait 3 years before finding your solution)

    Bye from Italy!
