Skimming question
I understand I can hit “S” turn skimming off and on. But, is there a way for me to leave skimming “On” in my event browser and leave it “Off” on my timeline.

What you can do is always have a finger on the S button for quick toggles.

Send a feature request to Apple, I’ve heard a few people talking about this as an option they would like.
