Size of the file
I have edited a short video, which has no graphics or animations or anything special, but when I try to export it in avi format, turns out to be a really heavy clip, 1.6 Gb, which is absurd considering that is not even 10 min long and is on SD. I am pretty sure I am making some mistake when exporting, but I don’t know which one.
This are the settings:
Compression: H. 264
Quality: High
Key frame rate: 24
Frame reordering: yes
Encoding mode: multi-pass
Dimensions: 512×288 (Current)Please, could anyone help me out?

Do not use Export Using QuickTime Conversion. Let Compressor do the work for you.
Export a QuickTime Movie and drop that file into Compressor. Find a preset that matches the setting you want and export.Steve Eisen
