  • Size issues when burning to DVD

    Hi guys,
    I hope you can help.

    I have rendered a project to 1440×1080, 1.3333, progressive, 25fps.
The actual screen size is 1440×816.

I am using Xilisoft 3 DVD creator but I don’t think it is professional enough. You cant check the fps or interlace settings.

I have burnt 16:9 full screen and its cutting it off.
I have burnt 16:9 letterbox and its a rectangle in the middle of the screen!

The only other options I have is 4:3 and pan and scan.

Does anyone know what settings I should use or a better DVD creator?

    Many thanks.
    Will.

If you are making a DVD then you need to render to MPEG2 at DVD PAL resolution for 25fps. Use the MainConcept MPEG2 codec with the DVD Architect PAL Widescreen video stream for video, and the Digital Dolby AC3 codec with the Stereo DVD template for the audio. Feed these two streams into your DVD authoring program. You should be using DVD Architect to make your DVD.

    Thanks John.

I have given you a credit at the end of my movie, I hope that is OK?

What type of AC3 for the audio do you use? I see a Pro and a Studio setting. Although everytime i try saving that, Vegas says something about the ac3 plugin is currently unavailable and mentions dvd architect, even though I have DVDA. Or should I just use a PCM wave?
