  • single image across multiple clones then rotate

Posted by Simon Hutchinson on June 28, 2009 at 11:57 am

    Hi there,

I am wanting to place a single image across a large number of clones, but only on one face. The effect i am after is to rotate 90 degrees all the clone squares so that a different image is revealed across the squares other faces.

The problem is I cannot figure out how to place an image across multiple clones on just one side and another image split across the faces that appear after the 90 degree turn.

    Any suggestions welcome.

    Jethro.

In the Cloner’s object tab, set “Fix texture” to “Alternate X” (or Y). Place two materials on the cloner — one with the texture tag set to Side>Front and the other with the tag set to Side>Back. You’ll have to render (or use Interactive Render Region to see the effect.
