I just received a video clip and the audio has captured only the left channel. Is there a way I can duplicate this channel so I have ‘stereo’ audio? Or is there another way I can create this. It’s just some background commentary but it would be nice to have it play through both speakers.

    Thanks for any advice

The audio effect you want is “Fill Left”.

Use the “Fill Left” audio effect.

Thanks for the responses. I used the fill right effect (audio was only coming through the left speaker). When I apply the effect I lose the volume of that clip in both speakers. When I click bypass, I am back to only having volume in the left speaker. Any idea what I’m doing wrong? There doesn’t appear to be anything left to try with this effect.

    Thanks

We both responded the same way. Use “Fill Left”.

So exactly why did you use “Fill Right”?

Perhaps if it was named “Fill From Left” it would be more clear, but when two of us say it, it is highly likely that we both got it right.

    Give it a try.
