Sin City effect…
Hi there
So im creating a sin city effect incorporating stills and photoshop and of course, colour to give the desaturation and 1-colour effect.
However, does anyone know or can point me in the direction of a tutorial that can help recreate a stylised, heavy black and white rain in motion?
I was thinking creating rain in photoshop and just creating some form of 3D move to give the ‘sensation’ of the movement of rain but, with the cloud generator and particle generator, is there not something to be achieved?

i don’t know about any specific Motion tutorials for creating rain, but you might be able to adapt the following Cow AfterEffects tutorials:

I did produce the rain effect by drawing the shape as a line then applying the shape to the rain fx within motion.
Worked a treat.
