Activity Forums Adobe After Effects simulation — can they track an animation

  • simulation — can they track an animation

    Hi,

I’m animating a teeth brushing sequence in a 3d package.

I want to use the bubbles simulationn in aftereffect to create the illusion of brushing.

Is it possible to “link” the bubbles simulation to the animation so it follow the toothbrush?

    Thanks for any insight.

    Hi mate,

I think the bubble simulation is too basic to achieve this.

If you have Particular then you can attach the particle emitter position that to a null object and track that to your animation.

If you don’t have particular then you can do the same using CC Particle world which will give you a good result.

Also is there not a particle emitter in you 3D package?

Hope that points you in the right direction.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the valuable insight.

I don’t have Particular, but will try with CCParticle.

    My 3d package has a particle plugin — I haven’t been successful
using it. I have submitted a question to our forum and hope for
    help there.

Thanks again for the quick, excellent help.
