    Why not just shoot handheld?

i’ve not tried this one, but it is a free download and if you could slow it and smooth it, then it might do th trick

if you go over to https://proapptips.com you’ll find a pretty comprehensive list of the plugins avilable for fcp

    hope it helps

Thanks Andy. I will try that and give you my opinion. And thanks for the link.

And David, maybe the seen is already shot or maybe it’s a green screen shot and you want to “shake” both foreground and background simultaneously to improve the live feeling.

I’ve tried some motion editing in FCP, but it always ends up quite static.

“G Earthquaker” in Set 2 can be set to fake bad camerawork. Try out the demo at http://www.nattress.com and see.

    Thanks, Graham!

That’s typical! I have your Film Presets, Set 1 and G Free, not Set 2!! 🙂 I’ll try out the demo!

Try using the motion stabilize filter on a handheld shot then apply the keyframes that are generated to the shot you want to shake. You’ll need to scale the size of the frame up a little to cover up the ratty edges.
