    godfrey,

Unless you’ve added graphics to your DV sequences, there will be no benifit to going to a higher compressor. DV will be fine. but, I often change my compressor to 8bit before going to a DVD or the Web.

Yeah, just export to Quicktime, choose to use the current settings and make self contained. That is just giving him an exact copy of the file you are using. If you can think of a way to make your video look better by running it throuh an additional process I’d love to know, but all it’s going to do is go down a generation and become 5 times the file size.

Brett and Chris, thanks very much for the tips it makes me feel a lot better that I’m doing the right thing.
Chris, the only ‘graphics’ involved are some LiveType titles and a bit of Motion. – I love the Poisson/FishEye thing.

Well I told you you were not doing the right thing in exporting as uncompressed. But anyway…

Actually, I have a follow-up question. I failed to mention that one of the projects is anamorphic and Current Settings did not adjust to this aspect ratio. Any ideas for this particular one Brett?

    Hey Godfrey,

Yeah, the fisheye thing is a pretty corny pun, but it seems to work. Yes, If you have any type or graphics it will help to change the sequence to 8bit, then make the movie as Bret says. It will make a difference, allbeit a small one.
