I’m trying to do a simple green-screen color suppression much like After Effects has with the “Hue/Saturation” effect.

I’ve tried to copy that plug-in in Premiere’s various plug-in folders, but to no avail – Premiere doesn’t detect it.

Is this possible to do in Premiere with or without the “Hue/Saturation” effect?

    thank you….

    Hi Ragno,

If it’s not possible to … simply do it in AE, then
    can you explain the effect/plugin.

    Darren.

    Darren,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, my workflow dictates that I do it in Premiere.

Isn’t there just a way (maybe using the color correction effect) to select a color range (in this case “greens”) and turn down its saturation?

    thanks….

I still don’t know what the ‘hue/saturation’ effect is,
but if want to keyframe a range of chroma-greens, that’s
easily done. Effects/Keying/Color Key/click the little
colour rectangle in the Color Key-Effects Control palette
to open the Color Picker, select you initial green,
keyframe it, move along the timeline, reclick the rectangle
to select a different shade etc. etc. PPro will
automatically produce a colour transition effect between
your keyframed greens. – You’ll be able to watch it change shade
in the Effects Control palette if you scrub along the timeline
inside the Effects Control palette itself.
